iPad Air vs iPad Pro

The main differences between the iPad Air 10.9" (2022) and iPad Pro 11" (2022) are:

• Processor: The iPad Air is equipped with the M1 chip, while the iPad Pro is powered by the more powerful M2 chip. This makes the iPad Pro more suitable for intensive tasks such as video editing and 3D rendering.
• Screen: Both models have a Liquid Retina display, but the iPad Pro features ProMotion technology with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz for smoother animations.
• Storage capacity: The iPad Air offers up to 256 GB of storage, while the iPad Pro is available with storage up to 2 TB.
• Cameras: The iPad Pro has a more advanced camera system with a 12 MP wide-angle camera, 10 MP ultra-wide camera, and a LiDAR scanner for AR applications. The iPad Air only has one 12 MP wide-angle camera.
• Face ID vs Touch ID: The iPad Pro uses Face ID, while the iPad Air features Touch ID integrated into the top button.
• Apple Pencil functionality: Both iPads support the Apple Pencil (2nd generation), but the iPad Pro has Apple Pencil Hover, allowing you to see where the pencil touches the screen before you draw.
• Connections: Both models have a USB-C port, but the iPad Pro also supports Thunderbolt 4 for faster data transfer.

iPad Pro offers better performance and ProMotion screen

The iPad Pro 11-inch (2022) is clearly the more powerful option thanks to the M2 chip, ProMotion display, better cameras, and Thunderbolt support. This makes it ideal for professionals working with graphically demanding applications, video editing, or augmented reality.

The iPad Air 10.9-inch (2022), however, still offers excellent performance thanks to the M1 chip, is lighter and more affordable, and remains an ideal choice for students, multitaskers, and everyday users.

Summary:

• Choose the iPad Pro 11" (2022): For maximum performance, ProMotion display, better cameras, and Thunderbolt connectivity.
• Choose the iPad Air 10.9" (2022): For excellent performance, a lighter design, and better value for money.

Both models are powerful and versatile, but the choice depends on your specific needs and budget. The iPad Pro is ideal for professionals, while the iPad Air offers a perfect balance between performance and price.
